3 Ways To GUARANTEE Your Online Business Will Succeed

3 Ways To GUARANTEE Your Online Business Will Succeed

STOP Worrying About Wasting Your Time With Internet Marketing… Use These 3 Tips To Help Guarantee Success.

Ever feel like you’re wasting your time, spending hours upon hours behind a computer screen without seeing results?

Do you bounce from idea to idea, niche to niche?

Well one of the hardest things to overcome when you first get started online is dealing with the fear of an idea failing.

But what if there were 3 simple things you could do, that guaranteed your online efforts would be profitable?

Failing To Plan Is Planning To Fail

You’ve probably heard that ‘taking action’ is the holy grail of succeeding online.

I’m not doubting that in any way, because without taking action and doing the work your email list, e-commerce website, social media following or online business will never even exist.

But I’ve seen countless people waste time, effort and money on a terrible idea.

Succeeding online isn’t as simple as just ‘taking action’, it’s about what action you take.

Experiment, look through some of the last courses or training you went through and then write down potential ideas and strategies.

When you first start online, increasing your knowledge by researching as many ideas and strategies… but when you find one that fits stick with it.

Focus on that ‘one thing’ until you see success.

But how do you know what idea or strategy to choose?

1. Find Your Audience

Without an audience (traffic) you’re never going to be able to generate an income online.

You’ve probably heard of ‘market research’ before?

However boring and tedious market research sounds, it’s extremely important in establishing whether or not your idea will be successful.

But market research isn’t you standing on a busy street, asking random people questions…

Using the resources available to you online, within 15 minutes you can find out the following:

  • How big your potential audience is

  • Where your potential audience spend their time online

  • What your potential audience look for online

  • The biggest challenges your potential audience face

  • How the competitors in your niche are getting visitors

  • What your potential audience buy online

Pretty impressive right?

Wouldn’t you like to know that data before spending time and money on your idea?

There’s a few tools I suggest.

SEMRUSH – This is a great tool that helps you analyse search keywords alongside your competitors. It taps into the Google Keyword Planner, providing you search volume for keywords alongside suggesting other related keywords. Want to see what keywords your competitors get their traffic from? Input their web address and let SEMRUSH work its magic.

Similarweb – This tool is great for reverse engineering your competitors efforts. Enter the web address of a competitor and Similarweb will provide you with data on their audience, where they get their traffic from and also where they send their traffic.

similarweb

Similartech – Not sure what technology your competition uses? Similartech will show you the platform and plugins any website uses.

similartech

Facebook Audience Insights – The Facebook ads platform has revolutionised the advertising industry, and the Facebook Audience Insights is a free tool any one can benefit from. Use it to find out the exact demographics of your audience, audience size alongside discovering other interests.

Social Media Engagement – Social media is all about engagement, so use it to discover what your potential audience react well too and what they want. Search for profiles and content related to your idea on social media pages (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are good places to start). Take a look at the comments, and see what your potential audience are saying/demanding.

social media engagement

BuzzSumo – Ever wondered what content is performing well online? Enter your topic/niche into BuzzSumo and it will provide you with the most shared content. Not only will this help you get ideas for content/products, it will also allow you to see the people who’ve gone to the lengths of sharing the content.

buzzsumo

YouGov Profiles – Want to discover the exact demographic of someones audience? Search for a popular celebrity/show related to your niche and YouGov will provide you with a demographic breakdown, including Age, Profession, Lifestyle and even Personality.

You don’t need to use all of these tools, but these are tools at your disposal to help you get data on whether your idea will be something people want.

With every idea you think of, use the tools above to research the audience.

Find out who they are, where they are and more importantly… what they want.

2. Stay Motivated

After choosing the winning idea, it’s important to focus solely on that one thing.

It’s very easy to bounce to another idea, strategy or purchase another course which teaches you a different way…

But focusing on that one thing will reap results faster.

Staying motivated can be difficult, especially with the amount of distractions thrown at you when you work online.

It’s easy to get caught up in the internet marketing lifestyle before you’ve achieved success, relaxing without working.

It’s easy to get distracted by a message on Facebook when you really should be creating content.

It’s easy to choose not to work today when you’re in charge of the hours you work.

Staying motivated is difficult, but focusing on the reasons why you’re doing it will help keep you on track.

Think about the lifestyle you’re looking to create, think about the freedom, think about how it will make you and your family feel…

Finding deeper reasons ‘why’ you’re trying to become successful online will keep you motivated along the way.

why

Accountability is also a key ingredient to motivation. Having someone hold you accountable or stating what you’ll achieve publicly will give you more motivation to succeed.

The reasons why actors and actresses get in the best shape they’ve ever been to play a role in a movie is down to accountability.

If they don’t achieve the body required, they won’t get the role meaning they won’t get the pay cheque.

Having a strong reason why you’re doing this and becoming accountable will get you through those challenging periods.

3. Focus on Profit

Content is important.

Serving others is important.

The traffic you get or the size of your social media following is important.

But none of this matters if you’re making $0 from it.

profit

Focusing you efforts to the money you’re making from your online efforts and prioritising tasks that will help you monetise your efforts is hugely important.

That’s not to say content, traffic generation and social media isn’t important, this will all help you create an income from your online business. But cash flow is the only thing that will keep your online business alive.

Even if it’s a ‘passion’ based business, focusing on the profit you’re making will help you take that business to new levels.

Treat your online efforts like a business and focus on profit.

Moving Forward…

Working on these 3 things alone will help give you more clarity on whether your idea will succeed or fail.

If there’s no data available (from point 1) to prove that your idea will be successful, you’re going to struggle to achieve any success.

When you’ve chosen the idea/niche to move forward with, if you can’t stay motivated to focus on that one thing it’s going to take a long time to see success.

Last but not least, putting little effort into the profit you’re making will make it very hard to sustain.

Great tips on starting and staying motivated and focused on business at hand. I have found that I’m able to get more done if I force myself to check my email AFTER I do my work instead of before. Email is a big distraction for me.

    Hi George

Start a Online business is = to work hard …. Can you give advice ? In this moment i m stuck because i dont know what I m doing wrong.

My niche is popular (90% of people in this niche just make money in Youtube ads) but you can find product in Amazon and clickbank too (with a comision of around $120) so exist a big demand

I m using Fb ads to drive traffic … direct to a optin page with my lead magnet (with a conversion of 50% + 0.5 per lead) ” targeting, ad copy, and creativity is correct.

Now the problem is that I cant sell my tripwire at $5 (My followup emails have a open rate of 30% or more and 12 CTR) that could be wrong in my funnel?

I had to pay to set up my Blog. I do not really know what a Blog is but it isn’t doing well.
I am too tired tonight to try anything.
Tomorrow, I will check out SEMRUSH and SemilarWeb.
I do not understand most of the graphics you have shown but there is much i do not understand.
I know, for certain, I do not want to hear another “I was broke” story and see how much folks are making.
    I am broke!!!!!
If this is a give you free info then snag one into paying, leave me out….been there…didn’t work.

Spot on again George! Great post.
Although, I believe one of the main issues I’ve had with starting…and still have after 10 years trying to “do” internet marketing, is coming up with ideas period! Not just “good” ones, any viable ones whatsoever.
It’s almost embarrassing to have an insatiable drive to succeed online for myself and my family then not be able to have the creativeness to really put in the effort it takes to get results time after time is horrible. Then to look back and realize I’ve missed soooo much time while my kids grew up around me, all while I was trying to create more free time to spend with them is just absurd and hard to deal with after the fact!
After a long enough time of that kind of failure it will beat the confidence out of just about anyone.
I even had access to what was probably the best “course” out there anywhere….”Profit Masters” and couldn’t come up with anything that I thought was a good idea at all. That saddens me to no end.
But I will say if a new person can and will follow what you have written about in this blog post and they have ideas to test out it will help them dramatically. You are a Profit Master George and I respect you for who you are and appreciate you being in this market!

    Thanks,
    Jamie

Hey Mary, sorry to hear things aren’t working out well for you. My advice would be to choose one strategy/business model and learn as much as you possibly can about it. If you feel like everything is too much, focus in on one thing. I hope this helps :)

Max, thanks for breaking this down. Firstly, well done for taking action. The 50% conversion rate from cold traffic on Facebook is amazing, a $0.50 per lead is also great. The issue is the conversions on the tripwire page. I’d start with looking at the copy on that page, then also considering whether the tripwire is something that audience who are opting in actually want? Focus in on on the tripwire page first to improve conversions there and see how things go.
